Observe is the cure for many dev ops engineers’ constant pain. Designed to fulfill a gap in the emerging observability space — which combines log analytics, infrastructure monitoring and application performance management — the Snowflake-based platform is part data analytics engine, part dashboard and part time machine. Observe allows engineers to identify, pinpoint and diagnose cloud environment issues faster and more cost effectively.
Observe’s CEO Jeremy Burton, Rebellion’s former client and ex-CMO of Dell Technologies, tapped us to develop a new, go-to-market branding system and a cornerstone marketing website, observeinc.com, for prospecting as the startup emerged from stealth phase to enter into the exploding SAAS startup market.
In designing Observe’s new identity, we crafted it to be a strong but clean mark that lived well in the client's product interface, but also differentiated the brand in this quickly-crowding market.
Inspired by the intuitive design of the Observe platform, we drew from the metaphor of observatories and observability to inform a simple and recognizable mark. Similarly, the identity integrates tones that suggest the universe and celestial bodies.
Helping users understand how Observe brings new levels of ease and efficiency to visualizing overwhelming volumes of data is key to the pre-sale phase for this product, so illustrating that in a few scrolls was key to our solution. The intuitive, visual nature of the platform comes to life as users interact with this understated but detailed site.
